Time: MOTION AS FOLLOWS: Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously, carried to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown and other alternatives do exist, but to allow the applicant to place the addition on the east side of the cabin as long as the addition is 1 O' from the property line and no closer to the lake than the existing cabin. RKiuest a variance of 73' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' and a variance of 23' from the required shore impact zone setback of 50' for the enclosure of an existing deck. -j > ♦ 4 t 1 Page. 5 July 2nd, 1992 Patrick, Francis and Rita Quinlan - Approved Patrick, Francis and Rita Quinlan, Richville, liN, requested a variance from the shore impact zone setback requirement of 50' for the construction of a 1 O' by 16‘6" addition to the road side of the applicant's cottage. The cottage and addition will be located in the shore impact zone area. The property is described as Lot 3 and the 51 /2 of Lot 4 of Camp Hatton. Dead River in Amor Township. A letter from S. D. Gorvig was read for the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to approve a variance from the shore impact zone setback requirement of 50’ for the construction of a 10’ by 16'6" addition to the road side of the applicant's cottage. The property is described as a tract in Government Lot 6, Section 4 of Dora Township on East Spirit Lake. A letter from Dr. & Mrs. R.C. Reed in favor of granting this request was read for the record. The audience was polled with Dick Beffefeuiile speaking in favor of the applicant's request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously, carried to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown and other alternatives do exist, but to allow the applicant to place the addition on the east side of the cabin as long as the addition is 1 O' from the property line and no closer to the lake than the existing cabin. The applicant can enjoy reasonable use of his property without the granting of this variance request. 1 i Wold Limited Partnership, Thomas C. Wold - Approved Wold Limited Partnership, Thomas C. Wold, Fargo, ND, requested the necessary variances to construct a screened porch on the east side of the existing cottage that will extend approximately 4' to the lake and to add a deck which will extend approximately 15' towards the lake and be more than 3' off the ground on the north side. The property is described as Lot 2 of Beauty Bay, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township. The audience was not polled as there was no one present. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to grant the variances as necessary for the construction of a screened porch on the east side of the existing cottage and for the addition of the deck. The applicant's proposal is not inappropriate for this area.
