RE; Property located on East Leaf Lake (56-116).
Dear Mr. Peterson;
On June 22, 1989 I inspected your completed retaining wall project that was
built under the authorization of Conditional Use Permit #3609.
During my inspection, I noticed several problems: the wall is bowed outward
approximately 4" to 6"; second, water is apparently getting behind the ties
and washing out the fill; third, the ties in the wall and the deadman
securing the wall are very noticeably shifting position.
All of these observations indicate to me that the wall is in the first phase
of failure. Because of this, we can not give final approval to this
project. Also, you must take corrective measures to see that this failure
does not occur.
Kindly call us when your corrective steps have been taken and we will
reinspect this project.
