Johnson Victor Petterson, Jr. V*n. Kalar, Land & Resource Management Kurt Mortenson, Assistant County Attorney Chairman Walter called the meeting to order at 7:02. Motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve the minutes of the May 3rd meeting as mailed. CALL TO OF?DER MINUTES APPRCVED The following variance requests were heard; John B. McCain, Burnsville, I«, requested permisskm to construct a 16' X 24' garage requiring a five foot sideyard setback and a five foot rear setback, on Lot 4 and part of 5, Sunberg's Point, cn Pickeral lake in Maine Township. After consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Daniel Oehler and unanimously carried, to grant approval, with no less than a 12' separation between the proposed garage and the neighbor's garage, heirdship being a substandard lot of record arvd willing to make one dwelling to be aocaiplished by December 1, 1991. JCHN B. MoCAIN APPROVED, WITH CCNDmONS Merlyn & Charlotte Famun, Bayport, W, requested permission to construct dwelling at 150' from Spitzer Lake, cn Lot 9, Blod< 1, Woodland Development, Leaf Mountain Township. After consideration, motion vas mad? hy Dan Oehler, seconded by John Everts and carried unanimously tabled, to allow the menbers to view the property. After sane disoussicn, Hemquist withdrew his ^jplication. MERLYN FAKCM TABLED WITHDRAWN Thoras Carlson, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to construct a 22’ X 26' garage 8' from lot line and 20' fron traveled surface of the road, on Lot 28, Wall leke Point, on Wall Lake in Dane Prairie Township. After consideration, notion vas made by Dan Oehler, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve variance as re­ quested, hardship being a substandard lot of record, with an 8' side lot setback acrtually improving the situation. Donald V. Roberts, Richville, M4, requested pjerraission to have a 100' setback frcm Dead Lake, in G.L. 3 s 4, Section 31, Dead lake Township. After discussion, motion was made by Craig Anderson to deny, no ade­ quate hardship shown on 2,100 feet of shoreline. The motionws seconded by John EX«rts, but the applicant withdrew the application prior to vote. THCMAS CARLSCN APPROVED DCNALD V. ROBERTS WITHDRAWN Gary Hutchins, Fergus Falls, hW, requested permissicn to split a 3.46 acre parcel into two parcels with less than 2h acres each, in G.L. 5, Section 4, Buse Township. After consideration, motion was made hy Victor Petterson, Jr., seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve, hardship being a residenticil area, with many smaller lots, and being able to enjoy the same ri^ts and privilege and others in the area enjcy.
