Buchanan-Anderson speaking to the variance request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to table the variance request for additional information regarding existing wetlands, road right-of-way and ordinary high water level setbacks, septic system locations and the availability of property for development. The applicant was directed to meet on site with a representative of the Land and Resource Department to discuss various alternatives. May 4th, 1995 Meeting - The audience was not polled as there was no one in attendance at the time of this hearing. After a report from the Land and Resource Department and additional discussion, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a 10' variance from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the placement of a 10' by 50' mobile home 190' from the ordinary high water level. It was noted that this area is designated by three treated posts. After additional consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to allow the placement of the 10' by 10' storage shed 175' from the ordinary high water level and at least 20' from the road right-of-way. It should be noted that both of these locations are depicted on a drawing prepared by the Land and Resource Department and are considered by the office as the best locations for these two structures. 9. The property is described as Lot 19, Block 1, Echo Ranch Riviera 7th Addition, Otter Tail River in Otter Tail Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown. It should be noted that the Board did not feel that it would be appropriate to grant the variance based on the possibility that Lot 19 and Lot 20 would be combined at a future date. Gerald and Brenda Franklin Approved Gerald and Brenda Franklin, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested a variance of 1' from the 18' maximum height requirement of a non-dwelling structure for an existing 40' by 80' pole barn having a height of 19'. The property is described as part of Government Lot 5, Section 31 of Dunn Township on Lake Lizzie. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Leslie Estes and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 1' from the 18' maximum height requirement of a non dwelling structure for an existing 40' by 80' pole barn having a height of 19'.
