This is a commercial establishment with a need for additional kitchen facilities, Inspiration Point Bible Camp -Approved Inspiration Point Bible Camp, Clitherall, MN, requested a variance of 30' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200'; a variance of 17' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' and a variance of 4,5' from the required drain field setback of 20' for the construction of a 36' by 45' storage building. The applicant's lot is on a peninsula resulting in the need for two variances from the ordinary high water level setback. The property is described as a 20 acre tract in (Government Lot 5. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 30' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' and a variance of 17' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the construction of a 36' by 45' storage building. The hardship being the terrain features of the property. Due to revisions in the shoreland ordinance the required drain field setback from a non-dwelling unit is 1 O', therefore the applicant no longer requires a variance from the drain field setback. m May 6th, 1 QQ3 T met, When the property was surveyed the square footage was determined to be less than the amount stated in the original application, The property is described as part of Government Lots 3 and 6, Section 21 of Everts Township on Silver Lake, The audience was polled with Melanie Green, Everts Township Board Member, stating that the Everts Town Board would not consider this a buildable lot. She expressed concerns regarding the road right-of-way and snow removal. After consideration, motion was made by Dan Oehler, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to deny this variance request due to the substantial change in the area of this parcel from the original application. When the request was originally approved it was thought that this parcel would be ^0,547 square feet. The surveyor determined that this lot contained 39,300 square feet of which 14,561 square feet lies within the township road right- of-way- Gary R. Anderson -Tabled Gary R. Anderson, Crete, NE, requested a variance to subdivide a parcel of less than 2.5 acres from an existing 4.96 acre parcel. The parcel will have approximately 230' of lake shore and approximately 2.45 acres of area. The property is described as part of Government Lot 6, Section 21 of Tordenskjold Township on Long Lake. The applicant was represented at this hearing by Jack Hubeny, Otter Tail Real Estate Services. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to table this variance request so the applicant can discuss with the township the existing easement road. John and Janice Thielman - Approved John and Janice Thielman, West Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 31' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the construction of a 26’ by 36' addition to an existing cabin. The property is described as Lots 1 and 2, Merryland Park, Marion Lake in Rush Lake Township, The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Bert Olson, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 31' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the construction of a 26' by 26' addition to an existing cabin. The addition will be no closer to the lake than the existing structure and the addition will meet all other setback requirements. Dorothy M. Gallagher - Approved Dorothy M, Gallagher, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 7' from the required side lot line setback of 1 O' for the construction of two bathrooms to an existing structure. The property is described as Lot 45 and the west 25' of Lot 44, Broadwater Beach, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A letter received from William Boyd in favor of this variance request was read for the record. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 7' from the required side lot line setback of 10' for the construction of two bathrooms to an existing structure. Hardship being a substandard lot of record. Our evaluation of your septic tank shows it to be plastic with a capacity estimated to be between 750 and 1000 gallons- The size of the drywell could not be determined. The system showed no visible signs of leakage or soft spots. Sufficient area exists behind the home to locate a drainfield in the event of a failure of the existing system.
