Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve the parcels
identified on the registered surveyor’s drawing as Parcels A, B, C and AA with the following conditions: 1 a
registered surveyor’s drawing meeting the County’s requirements must be provided, 2. the parcels must contain
adequate area for two on-site septic systems and 3. a letter from the adjacent property owners stating that their are
no property line disputes must be provided at the time of recording. It should be noted that these four parcels are
presently serviced by an existing township road. After additional consideration, motion was made by John Everts,
seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to approve the parcels identified on the registered surveyor’s
drawing as Parcels EE and FF provided that an area of at least 66’ by 209’ from Parcel FF must be added to the
South side of the North 209’ of the West 209’ of Government Lot 1, Section 23 of Otter Tail Township, provided that
the ingress and egress easement as depicted on the registered surveyor’s drawing must be dedicated to the public,
provided that both parcels contain adequate area for two on-site septic systems and provided that a letter from the
adjacent property owners stating that their are no property line disputes must be submitted at the time of conveyance.

OF THE
OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
November 14,1996
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, November 14, 1996, with the following persons in
attendance:
John Everts
Cecil Femling
Randall Mann

George Walter

Wally Senyk, County Attorney
Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Walter.
The following variance requests were heard:
Reginald Juven • Approved
Reginald Juven, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance of 3’ from the required 18’ maximum height of a non-dwelling
structure for the construction of a 60’ by 100’ machinery storage shed having an overall height of 2T. The property is
described as part of the Northwest Quarter, Section 35 of Buse Township by an unnamed lake. The audience was
polled with Kim Cordahl speaking to the applicant’s request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts,
seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 3’ from the required 18’ maximum height
of a non-dwelling structure for the construction of a 60’ by 100’ machinery storage shed having a height of 2T. It
should be noted that the structure will be approximately 400 to 500’ from the ordinary high water level and will not
obstruct the view of the adjacent property owners. It was also noted that the structure will be used as part of an
existing agricultural enterprise.
Lyle Henry Cordes - Approved
Lyle Henry Cordes, Ottertail, MN, requested a variance to create 6 parcels of less than 5 acres. The minimum size for
metes and bounds parcels within the shoreland area is 5 acres A registered surveyor’s drawing is on file with the
County Auditor’s office. The property is described as part of Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 23 of Otter Tail
Township by Long Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A letter from Tim
and Tammy Lueders in favor of the request was read for the record. A letter from Emmett Wilson expressing concerns
with the registered surveyor’s drawing was read for the record. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts,
seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve the parcels identified on the registered surveyor’s
drawing as Parcels A, B, C and AA with the following conditions: 1 a registered surveyor’s drawing meeting the
County’s requirements must be provided, 2. the parcels must contain adequate area for two on-site septic systems
and 3. a letter from the adjacent property owners stating that their are no property line disputes must be provided at
