Board of Adjustment - 2 July 1, 1982
John Stumpf. West Fargo, ND, requested permission to build 75' from the lake, on
Lot 2, Block 1, Perrin's Subdivision, Lida Township. After discussion, motion was
made by John Everts to approve variance because of the difficult slope of the lot,
watershed problems, a special use permit has already been granted, and .the meandered
shore line sets this property behind that of the neighbors. The motion was seconded
by Frank Lachowitzer and carried.
Elaine Trigg, Fergus Falls, MN, requested to be tabled untilthe August 5th meeting.
Harold Hauqrud. Barnesville. MN, requested permission to construct a 24' x 24'
garage 5' from lot line, on Lot 9, Peterson's Lakeshore tracts in Section 28, Dunn
Township. After discussion, motion was made by George Walter to deny approval be
cause of objections from the adjoining neighbor, also road right-of-way variance
required, had a permit to construct a garage in 1972 and space used for something
else. The motion was seconded by tom Stringer and carried with John Everts voting
"no".
Lester Summer, Chokio, MN,requested permission to convey six parcels by metes and
bounds description in G.L.' 1 & 2, Section 28, Tordenskjold Township.After consider
able discussion, motion was made by Frank Lachowitzer, seconded by John Everts and
carried, to deny approval.Jt
Ronald Brown, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to record a metes and bounds
document, in Section 27 of Lida Township.
George Walter to approve variance, because recording could have taken place had
the applicant recorded at time of purchase, prior to enactment of ordinance,
motion was seconded by Tom Stringer and carried with Frank Lachowitzer voting "no".

81' from lake rather than required 100' on .04 acre parcel in NE corner of Lot 1,
Section 23, Otter Tail Township*. ‘After discussion, motionvfis made by Tom Stringer
to deny approval for lack of hardship to be taken into account.The motion was
seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried.

AFTER TALKING TO YOUR OFFICE BY TELEPHONE ON WED. MAY 26,1982,
I HAVE CONTACTED MY CONTRACTOR REGARDING THE CHANGE WHICH YOU
HAVE IMPOSED ON THE PROPOSED ADDITION TO THE CABIN ON MY PROPERTY
IN OTTERTAIL TOWNSHIP.
THE CHANGE WHICH YOU REQUEST WOULD REQUIRE CUTTING A LARGE OAK
TREE ON THE PROPERTY, AT CONDSIDERABLE EXPENSE AND WOULD GREATLY
INTERFERE WITH EXISTING UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL WIRES WHEN DIGGING
FOOTINGS, AND CAUSE FOR UNDUE IlsiTERIOR CHANGES WHICH WOULD CAUSE
UNNECESSARY CHANGES AND EXPENSE.
I THEREFORE WISH TO APPLY FOR A VARIANCE TO MAKE THE PROPOSED
ADDITON IN ACCODANCE WITH MY ORIGINAL PLANS. PLEASE ADVISE WHAT
THIS PROCEEDLIRE AND TIMETABLE WILL BE.
ALSO ON THE APPLICATION FORM WHICH I AM RETURNING UNSIGNED, YOU HAVE
A NOTATION ON THE BOTTOM STATING CABIN HAS NO SINK OR WATER. THIS IS
NOT CORRECT. ON THE PHONE I UNDERSTOOD YOU TO ASK IF THE CABIN HAD
AN INSIDE TOILET WITH A SINK, WHICH IT DOES NOT. IT DOES HOWEVER HAVE
A KITCHEN SINK WHICH DRAINS INTO AN OUTSIDE PIT.
