After discussion and consideration, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Michael Harris and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 118’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a 24’ by 44’ stick buiit structure on a floating slab with a 10’ deck lakeside 82’ from the ordinary high water level as described in the variance application dated March 18, 2014 and as depicted on the submitted drawings. The variance as approved will not impact the immediate neighborhood, will not place the proposed development any closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing development and is the best location on the property for the development being proposed. Cami Schwantz - Variance application approved as requested with a condition. (7:03 p.m.) Cynthia Morsch, part of Lot 22 and Part of Lot B, Camp Hatton, Otter Tail Lake in Amor Township, requested the following: request variance for replacing existing dwelling with new dwelling on existing footprint with new structure location approximately 23’ from ordinary high water level and approximately 12’ 6” from private road easement. Structure to be approximately 25’ 6” in height. Noel Morsch appeared with and represented the applicant. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Thomas Lee made a motion, second by Michael Harris and unanimously carried, to approve as requested the variances necessary for the replacement of an existing dwelling with a new dwelling on the existing footprint being approximately 23’ from the ordinary high water level and approximately 12’ 6” from the private road easement and having an overall height of 25’ 6". The Board noted their appreciation for the very detailed documentation presented with the application. The proposed development and the variance granted is consistent with other development and with other variances granted in this immediate area.
