Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Conanission was held on May 18, 1977
at 7:30 P.M, in the Court House, Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537,
Members present were; Beck, Portmann, Davis, Estes, Ryan, Snowberg, Jacobson,
Fjestad, Lindquist, and Lee. Michael Kirk also present.
Passed:A motion by Portmann, second by Ryan to approve the minutes of
the May 4, 1977 with one correction on motion for Little Pine
Estates, should read Lenius rather than Leitch.
Voting; All members in favor.
Passed;A motion by Beck, second by Davis to deny the special use application
of John Jorde. dated April 11, 1977 on Otter Tail Lake, No. 56-242,
GD, Sec. 14 of Amor Township because of possible adverse conditions
that may accrue from this project and confirmed by a report from the
Soil Conservation Service dated May 9, 1977, Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Voting; All members in favor.
Failed:A motion by Snowberg, second by Lee to approve the special use permit
application of Curtis Sproull, dated April 13, 1977 on Logg Lake,
No. 56-784, RD, Sec. 14 of Elizabeth Township as requested. Victor
Crookstrom, LeRoy Peterson and Karen Peterson spoke to the Commission.
Voting Yes; Snowberg, Lindquist and Lee,
Voting No; Beck, Portmann, Davis, Estes, Ryan, Jacobson and Fjestad,
Passed:A motion by Fjestad to approve the variance application of Marvin
White, dated April 2, 1977 at 100 feet setback from lake on Grove
Lake, No. 56-952, NE, Sec. 1 of Norwegian Grove.
Voting; All members in favor.
Passed;A motion by Portmann, second by Fjestad to approve the special use
application of Marilyn Hudson, dated April 15, 1977 on Lida, No. 56-747,
GD, Sec. 23 of Lida Township for filling between easement road and
lake and no cutting on back. Stabilize filling.
Voting; All members in favor.
A motion by Fjestad, second by Snowberg to approve the special use
application of Paul Grinnell, dated May 1, 1977 on Marion Lake, No.
56-243, GD, Sec. 1 of Dead Lake Township but not for commercial
purposes.
Passed:
Voting! All members in favor.
