Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Commission was held on May 6, 1981 at
7:30 P.M. in the Government Services Building, 505 South Court Street, Fergus
Falls, Minnesota 56537.
Beck, Portmann, Trites, Estes, Lachowitzer, Ryan, Jacobson,
Martin, Lee and Petterson.
Members present were;
A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Ryan to approve the minutes of
the April 15, 1981 meeting as mailed.
Passed:
Voting; All members in favor.
Mr.S..L. Gillum held a pre-application meeting with the Planning Commission regarding
property on West Spirit Lake and was told to have a preliminary drawn up; should
meet with someone from the Shoreland Management Office before plat is drawn up.
Willis Bohlken on Otter Tail Lake held a pre-application meeting with the Planning
Commission regarding a possible subdivision for 5 lots with an easement road;
Jacobson abstained from voting but the rest of the Commission was in favor of denying
the proposal. He was advised to consider a cluster development.
Passed:A motion by Martin second by Jacobson to approve the special use applicati
of David Sholy, dated April 16, l‘>81 on Pelican Lake, No. 56-786, GD,
Sec. 10 of Dunn Twp. with someone from the Land & Resource Management
Office approving it on-site.
Voting; All members in favor.
A motion by Estes, second by Lachowitzer to approve the special use
application of Bert Overland, Jr. on Otter Tail Lake, No. 56-2A2, Sec. 29
of Otter Tail Twp. if cut no closer than 20 feet to Lot 3 or no closer
than 35 feet to Lot 1, maximum cut Is feet and 20 feet wide; dirt
removed to be placed In ’nv arfa in rear of Lot, 40 feet from cut area.
Seed and sod may bo necessary where required for stabilization.

Voting; All members in favor.

of Elmer Holman, dated April ?, 1981 on East Battle lake, No. 56-138, RD,e

of Varron Dlederlch, dated April 1, 1981 on Pelican Lake, No. 56-786, GD,
Sec. 4 of Dunn Tw'p. as the area acts as a filtering basin for the lake,
wildlife habitat destruction and traffic problems. Don Dicdf-rich spoke
to the Commission.
