(56-191).

Dear Sirs:
Our office is in receipt of your letter dated August 20, 1986 regarding the
fill material on the above referenced property.
Please be advised that our office has been in contact with Mr, Strandmark as
well as his neighbors regarding a solution for this problem. An onsite
meeting during July with the parties involved resulted in Mr. Strandmark
agreeing to look into either installing a drain to the lake or removing the
fill.
Mr. Strandmark informed this office on September 3, 1986 that it appears
that the solution will involve the removal of excess fill on his property.
In order to accomplish this, however, he must wait until freeze up this fall
since area contractors are apparently unable to proceed with the removal
until that time.

At the annual meeting of Save the Lakes, Inc. a number of Stuart Lake

propenty owners registered a complaint on the earth elevation and filling, work
done on property owned by Roger Strandmark, Maple Grove, Minn, on Lot P of
Auditors Subdivision 5 L #?4 & 8 of Section 4, Nidros Twp. Stuart Lake, permit
No. 2099.
According to information, during the process of work being done complaint
was submitted to yo^r office that work was not being done according to the permit
granted and consequently has caused some serious damage and drainage problems to
adjacent properties. That your office has done nothing to correct or compel
Mr. Strandmark to comply to the authorized permit issued to him.
The adjacent property owners are objecting to the manner in which repairs
were executed and request that proper guthoritieSes study and evaluate work done and
check to see that work was done properly and according to the authorized permit.
Will appreciate update information on this complaint.

Dear Mr. Strandmark:
On July 10, 1986 we met you and your neighbors on your property regarding
the water problems in your area. As you may recall, it was decided that you
would look into the removal of the excess fill on your property as well as
the possibility of draining some of the water into the lake (DMR approval
needed).
It was also decided that you would inform our office within 2 weeks as to
your progress in this matter. Since almost 2 months have passed and we have
yet to hear from you, please inform our office on or before September 9,
1986 of your intentions regarding this matter.
