After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, to amend
the above motion to read as follows: to approve a variance of 15’ from the required ordinary high water level setback 6f 100’ for
the construction of a 12’ by 26' 8” addition to the west side of the existing dwelling located 85’ from the ordinary high water level.

After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Ken Erickson and unanimously carried,
to approve a variance of 15’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a 10’ by
26’ 8” addition to the west side of the existing dwelling located 85’ from the ordinary high water level. It was noted that
the proposed development will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing structure and will not
obstruct the view from the adjacent properties.

Edmund G. and LaVerne R. Kelley, part of Government Lot 4, Section 4 of Nidaros Township, requested a variance of
15' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the construction of a 10' by 26' 8" addition to the
west side of the existing dwelling located 85' from the ordinary high water level. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the variance as requested. After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a
motion, second by Ken Erickson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 15' from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 100' for the construction of a 10’ by 26' 8” addition to the west side of the existing dwelling
located 85’ from the ordinary high water level. It was noted that the proposed development will be no closer to the
ordinary high water level than the existing structure and will not obstruct the view from the adjacent properties.

1) I designed the original submitted plan of 10'x26'-8" without any professional assistance.
I designed it with the new bathroom being in the new 10' area. After the Variance
approval the plumbing contractor was consulted and he advised against the bathroom
location and recommended locating it in our present bedroom fora more functional
installation. The general contractor, with his computer layout, advised that for a
bedroom to be our configuration going in the new room and to accommodate a queen
sized bed needed to be 12'-0'x26'-8".
2) The nearest residence, which we own, to the West is approximately 800' away. The
nearest residence to the East is approximately 400'. There are no residencies to the
North or South.
3) The 2 foot approval will not change the 85' set back from Stuart Lake.
4) Approval will provide the Assessor's Office with an additional 54 sq. feet for tax base
purposes.
