Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Commission was held on May 17, 1978 at
7:30 P.M. in the Court House, Fergus Falls, Minnesota

Members present were: Beck, Portmann, Davis, Estes, Ryan, Jacobson, Lindquist
and Lee. Michael Kirk also present.
A motion by Lee, second by Beck to approve the minutes of the
May 3, 1978 meeting as mailed.
Passed:
Voting: All members in favor.
Dan Naumann, Century 21 Alex realty held a pre-application meeting regarding platting
of lots on Round Lake, No. 56-297, dimensions would be 150' x 200' equalling 30,000
square feet. The Planning Commission did not act favorably regarding this proposal
but no formal action was taken.
Charlotte Barnack, Clitherall Lake, No. 56-238, RD, Scenic Point Resort held a pre
application meeting regarding splitting resort into lots, lots and cabins would not
meet size requirements, lots would be from 71 feet to 81 feet wide. Suggested
combining two lots together to get lake frontage required for Clitherall Lake. No
farmal action was taken. Russ Alberg spoke to the Commission.
Passed:A motron by Davis, second by Lindquist ta approve the special use
application of Anderson-Freitag, Inc., dated April 10, 1978 on West Spirit
Lake, No. 56-502, NE, Sec. 5 of Dora Twp. with road adjacent to Lot 6
to be kept as far away from lakeshore without cutting too much into
hillside.
Voting: All members in favor except Beck.
A motion by Beck, second by Lindquist to approve the variance application
of E.G. Nielsen, dated May 1, 1978 on West McDonald Lake, No. 56-386, RD,
Sec. 13 of Dora twp. provided approval is obtained from township board.

Voting: All members in favor.
A motion by Beck to approve the variance application of Lome Bluhm,
dated May 11, 1978 on Clitherall Lake, No. 56-238, RD, Sec. 15 of Clitherall
Twp. provided old building is left in it's present state and is not
modernized and called a boat house, died for lack of a second.
