Gregory Flack - Approved the variance as requested. (8:24 p.m.)
After consideration and discussion, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Robert Schwartz and carried with Steve
Schierer voting no, to approve a variance of 22’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the
placement of a 22’ by 13’ screen porch 78’ from the ordinary high water level. The Board noted that the proposed
location will not obstruct the view from the adjacent properties and noted the shape and terrain of the applicant’s
property as the hardship.

After consideration and discussion, Cecil Femling rnade a motion,: second by Robert Schwartz and carried
with Steve Schierer voting no, to approve a variance of 14’ from the required road right-of-way setback of
20' and a. variance of 65’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for a second level
addition on existing dwelling located 6’ from the road right-of-way and 35’ from the ordinary high water level
with the condition that a contractor must provide a'letter stating that the existing lower level can support the
propo^d second level addition.

Erik R. Saxvik t- Denied. (8:27 p.m.)
Erik R Saxvik, Lot 1 Block A, Hursh’s First Addition and Lot 1 Linden Park, East Battle Lake in Girard
Township, requested a variance of 5’ from the required top of bluff setback of 30’ for the placement of an
addition 25’ from the top of the bluff. Randall Manh; Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or
against the variance as requested. Emails from Ruth Brown and Linda Moore rerriinding the Board of
similar requests in this immediate area which the Board chose to deny was read for the record. After
consideration and discussion, Cecil Femling made a motion, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously
carried, to deny the variance as requested as a reasonable use of the property can be obtained without the
granting of a variance, this is adequate area to meet the required setback and the denial is consistent with
past actions of the Board.
With np further business, Randall Mann, Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 8:31 p.m.
