Rupp. Cherokee, lA, requested a variance of 10” from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the location of mobile home approximately 9’ 2” from the side lot line. The property is described as Lot 1, Block 3, Blarney Beach, Otter Tail Lake in Everts Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 10” from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the location of a mobile home 9’ 2” from the side lot line with the condition that whenever the mobile home is replaced or substantially repaired it must be placed in compliance with the requirements of the ordinance. It was noted that this is a very minor variance request and that the current placement of the mobile home does not obstruct the view of the adjacent property owner. lerbert Miller - Approved Herbert Miller, Battle Lake, MN, requested a variance of approximately 7’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for a 12’ by 18’ sun porch addition to an existing structure located approximately 93’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lot 11 and part of Lot 12, Linden Grove, Clitherall Lake in Clitherall Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Craig Anderson and carried with John Everts abstaining, to approve a variance of 7’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for a 12’ by 18’ sun porch addition to an existing structure located 93’ from the ordinary high water level with the condition that no other structures will be permitted between the dwelling and the lake. It was noted that this is a reasonable request. It should be noted that the road splits the house from the lake. Evelyn Bull - Denied Evelyn Bull, Richfield, MN, requested a variance of approximately 49’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the addition of a 12’ by 16’ three season porch to an existing structure located approximately 5T from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lots 17 and 18, Deer Lake Beach, Deer Lake in Everts Township. The audience was polled with Perry Larson speaking in favor of the applicant’s request. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested, as the granting of the variance would advance the structure towards the ordinary high water level. Gary Wayne Anderson - Approved Gary Wayne Anderson, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance to subdivide an existing 1.18 acre parcel into two tracts. One tract would be approximately .61 of an acre and the other parcel would be approximately .57 of an acre. The granting of the variance will allow the applicant the ability to separate the residential portion of the 1.18-acre tract from the commercial portion and will return the tracts to their original status as acquired in 1966 and 1974. The property is described as the West 260’ of the East 835’ of the Southerly 200’ of Government Lot 6, Section 5 of Buse Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested. The granting of the variance will allow the applicant an opportunity to separate the business portion of his property from the residential portion of his property.
