MINN. )/( MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT November 2, 1989 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, November 2, 1989, with the following persons in attendance: George Walter Carl Johnson Cecil Femling Craig Anderson John Everts Daniel Oehler Wra. Kalar, Land & Resource Management David Hauser, Assistant County Attorney Chairman Walter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no objections or corrections to the minutes of the October 5th meeting, declared same approved as mailed. The following requests for variance were heard: Paul Flogstad, Sioux Falls, S.D., requested permission to replace existing garage with a garage of the same dimension plus a loft bedroom, on Lot 2, Linden Grove, Clitherall Township on Clitherall Lake.grant approval, hardship being a substandard lot of record with no material change in the existing structures and landscape. The motion was seconded by Daniel Oehler and carried, with John Everts abstaining. Larry G. Sedivy, Owatonnna, HN, requested permission to build a 16' X 20' storage shed with loft above, 80' from the water, 4' from property line, on Lots 69 and 70, Block 3, Crystal Hills, Lake Crystal in Lida Township. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to deny, no adequate hardship shown. Shea, Grand Forks, ND, requested permission to replace a 5'6" X 9'4" pump house with a 12' x 24' storage building eleven feet from water, on a parcel in G.L. 3, Section 32, Hobart Township on Lake Sybil . After consideration, motion was made by JOhn Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny, no adequate hardship shown with other alternatives on the lot for a building such as this. William H. Prieb, Moorhead, MN, requested permission to divide Lot 1, Block 2, Paul Lake Reserve, on Lake Paul, Edna Township. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by JOhn Everts and carried, to deny, no adequate hardship shown. George Cooperschmidt and George Doom appeared and spoke to the issue. Prieb was represented by David Bruhn. The David Carlson matter, tabled from preious meetings, was withdrawn. Sally H. Mudge, Golden Valley, MN, requested permission to construct addition to and repair existing struction, 38' variance from the 100' set-back to Blanche Lake, on Lot 7, Inglewood, Everts Township. After consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to grant approval, substandard lot of record, encroaching no closer to lake than existing structure.
