MOTION AS FOLLOWS:
Motion was made by George Waiter, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to allow
the applicant to exceed what the string line would permit by 4', on the north side of the
applicant's lot and as shown on the drawing submitted with the variance application, with
the condition that no future development or construction will take place towards the
ordinary high water level. It was noted that the variance is being granted for a 12' by
60' enclosed deck. The granting of this variance is making a substandard situation less
substandard as the placement of the mobile home on Lot 39 will have a greater setback from
the ordinary high water level then it did when the mobile home was located on Lot 38.

The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, July 13th, 1995, with the

Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by Chairraan George Walter.
T-Minutes Approved - July 6th, 1995 T'
Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the July 6th, 1995, meeting were
declared approved as mailed.
The following variance requests were heard:

Arvey Ray Erickson, Elbow Lake, MN, requested a variance of approximately 10' from the
required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the addition of a 12' by 60' deck
ti an existing mobile home approximately 90' from the ordinary high water level. The
ploperty is described as Lot 39, Bergsten North Shore Park, Crane Lake in Clitherall
T|pnship. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. It
noted that the applicant owns Lot 39 and that presently the mobile home is located on
Let 38. The applicant will be moving the trailer from Lot 38 to Lot 39. It was also
ncAed that the proposed 12’ by 60' deck will be an enclosed deck. After consideration am
diltcussion, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by John Everts and unanimously
calried, to allow the applicant to exceed what the string line would permit by 4', on the
