Hardship being a substandard lot of record, no control over where this easement road was placed
and by granting this variance the applicant will be able to protect his property and valuables by
the use of a garage, the applicant will also be allowed a reasonable use of his property and by the
granting of this variance the applicant is able to enjoy the same rights and privileges as others
on this'lake. The granting of a 5’ variance provides approximately equal protection on both ends
of the garage. • . ' --
5!PAUL RAYMOND PFEIFLE - APPROVED
Paul Raymond Pfeifle, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested a variance to remove a cabin and replace it
by moving another cabin-(same size) on the site. Also, requesting a variance to put a camper on
the lot until the cabin is available. The property is described as the West 50' of Lot 6 Block 3,
Crystal-Lida Beaches, Crystal Lake in Lida Township.- A letter from Margaret C. Johnson in
favor of granting this request was read for the record. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against this.request. After consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson, ,
seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested with
no loss of the applicants grandfatherxights.

existing cottage. A variance from the shoreline setback is required. The property is described
as the West 156' of Government fot ^ except 20' metes ahd bounds. Section 24, Clitherall
Township on Clitherall Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this
request. ‘ After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Victor Petterson and
unanimously carried, to grant a variance for the construction of an 18' by 10' addition to the
existing cottage as long as it is no closer-to the lake then the existing structure;
MICHAEL JEROME PETERSON - DENIED
Michael Jerome Peterson, Moorjnead, MN, requested a variance to leave the sectional home at its
present Tocation. The property is described as part of Lot 1: Tract 50' on Lake West of and
Adjacent Lot 6 Block 3, Sunset Beach Add'n, Lake Lizzie in Dunn Township. Letters in favor of
this variance request were read from the following individuals: Floyd K and Edna Carpenter,
Roger Gould, Monte Galt, H. Lee Ebsen and Victory Industries. The audience was polled wjth no
one speaking for or against this request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig
Andet'son, seconded by John Everts to deny this variance request as no adequate hardship had
been shown. The motion carried with Victor Petterson and George Walter voting no.
