Ronald Vernon Haneon - Approved
Ronald Vernon Hanson, Clitherall, HN, requested a variance of 25' from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 100' and a variance of 2’ from the required 30' bluff
setback for an addition to an existing structure 75' from the ordinary high water level
and 28' from the top of the bluff. The property is described as Lot 10, Block 2 and Lot
9, Block 3, Maple Acres, Stuart Lake in Girard Township. The audience was polled with no
one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John
Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 25'
from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' and a variance of 2' from the
required 30' bluff setback for an addition to an existing structure 75' from the ordinary
high water level and 28' from the top of the bluff. It was noted that the addition will
be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing structure.
Donald and Bernice Wadeson - Denied
Donald and Bernice Wadeson, Fargo, HD, requested a variance of approximately 23’ from the
required ordinary high water level setback of 75' for the replacement of an existing roof
and for an 8' extension approximately 52' from the ordinary high water level. The new
roof will advance 8' towards the ordinary high water level and will cover an existing
deck. The 8' extension will be constructed using posts and beams and will have no walls
on three sides. The property is described as Sub Lot J of Government Lot 6, Section 2 of
Scambler Township on Pelican Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or
against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by
Craig Anderson and carried with Cecil Femling voting no, to deny the variance as requested
as no adequate hardship had been shown and to permit the applicant to build up to what the
string line would allow.
Kermit Boyum - Approved
Peter Kermit Boyum, Battle Lake, MN, requested a variance of 20' from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the construction of a 24’iby 32’ two bedroom
cabin 80’/‘from the ordinary high water level.

audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration,
motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Leslie Estes and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 20' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for
the construction of a cabin (size has not yet been determined) 80' from the ordinary high
