The following variance requests were heard: Mel Stoltz - Approved with a condition. (6:30 p.m.) Mel Stoltz, part of Government Lot 10, Section 9 of Star Lake Township by Star Lake, requested a variance to add 3” to 4" topsoil to grow grass for lawn in an area 130' by 125’ (overall maximum area). Fill area will go to the top of the bluff (variance of O’). Approximately 139 cubic yards. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion , motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by Richard Sha and unanimously carried, to approve a variance for the placement of 3 to 4” of topsoil in the bluff impact zone with the condition the applicant must place sod within the first 10’ from the tip/edge of the bluff as recommended/directed by the Land and Resource Department.
