August 6,1998 meeting - The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried to table the
applicant’s request until the August 13, 1998 Board of Adjustment meeting for additional information concerning the
status of the road servicing this area^ August 13,1998 meeting - After discussion and consideration, motion was
made by John Everts, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested
with the condition that a registered surveyor's drawing must be presented at the time of conveyance.

Craig and Brad Colman - Denied
Craig and Brad Colman, Fargo, ND, requested a variance to subdivide a 100’ by 150’ tract from Lot 11,
Block 1, Tanglewood Shores for the purpose of attaching this tract to an adjacent lake lot. The property
is described as Lot 11, Tanglewood Shores, Big Pelican Lake, Little Pelican Lake and the Pelican River
in Dunn Township. August 6,1998 meeting -The audience was polled with no one speaking for or
against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John Everts
and unanimously carried, to table the applicants’ request until the August 13, 1998 Board of Adjustment
meeting for additional review and for an opinion from the County Attorney’s office regarding a permit
that was issued at the time Tanglewood Shores was platted. August 13,1998 meeting - After
discussion and consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling and
unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested based upon a review by the County Attorney’s
office of a previously granted permit in which residential development of Lot 11, Block 1, Tanglewood
Shores is prohibited.
Richard J. Walker - Approved
Richard J. Walker, Appleton, MN, and Douglas E. Lindgren, Battle Lake, MN, requested a variance “to
subdivide Mr. Lindgren’s property behind Lots 26 and 27. The proposed lots would be permanently
attached to Lots 26 and 27. The proposed lot size for each parcel would be approximately 105.8’ x
100’ +/- by 10T X 100’ +/-. We request to split this parcel and record without a surveyor’s drawing.”
The property is described as Lot 27 and abandoned RR line behind Lots 26 and 27, Raddahl Survey of
Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 3 of Clitherall Township by West Battle Lake. August 6, 1998
