February 8, 1989
Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of Otter
Tail County met Wednesday, February 8, 1989. Chairman Nelson called
the meeting to order at 12:45 p.m, with all members present.
Motion was made by Mel 0. Olson, seconded by Bert Hovland and unani
mously carried, to approve the minutes of the meeting of February 1st,

Mike Hanan, Solid Waste Officer, reported on his department^ activities
during the year 1988.
Dennis Berend, County Engineer, reported on his department's activities
during the year 1988.
Motion was made by Bert Hovland, seconded by Andy Lindquist and unani
mously carried, authorizing Engineer Berend to post notice regarding
overweight trucks, stating when an overweight violation has been issued,
the driver of such vehicle shall go before the County Board and answer
questions regarding such violation.
Malcolm Lee, Land & REsource Director, presented his report on the
Land & Resource office for the year 1988.

of December 7. 1988 as mailed.

A motion by Stringer, second by Trites to approve the
conditional use application of Rocky Norgren. Schleske Lake
(56-736). NE. SW 1/4 Ex Trs. Section 24. Maplewood Township as
requested, project is not to be done until April 15. 1989. and
must follow ASCS guidelines.

A motion by Stringer to approve the conditional use
application and preliminary plat of Taylor Investments. "East
Battle Beach". East Battle Lake (56-138). RD. PART OF
Government Lots 1 & 2. Section 35. Girard Township provided;
1. All presentation requirements as listed in the Shoreland
Management Ordinance of Otter Tail County including contour
lines at no greater than 10' intervals are met. 2. Dedicated
public road at the section line (34 & 35) be at least 66'
wide. 3. Road must meet all County requirements. Motion
failed for lack of a second.
