(7:05 p.m.) Gregory and Kathleen Stompro, Lot 80 Nedberg Nye Survey Lots of Government Lots 1, 2 and 3, Section 1 of Devils Lake by Edna Township, requested the following: Proposing to replace existing garage with a 24’ by 28' two story garage. After discussion and consideration, Michael Harris made a motion, second by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve the variances as requested in the variance application dated July 16, 2013 for the proposed development as depicted on the drawing submitted with the application and dated July 11, 2013. The proposed development and requested variances are consistent with other applications that have been received in the recent past from properties in this general location. Richard W. After discussion and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Ward Uggerud and carried with Michael Harris voting no, to approve a variance of 103’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the location of an existing structure 97’ from the ordinary high water level. It should be noted that the variance as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any other variance for this existing structure. Ward Uggerud made a motion, second by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 146’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the location of an existing structure 54’ from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 104’ for the location of two existing structures 96’ from the ordinary high water level. Hardship/practical difficulty is the terrain/topography of the applicant’s property. It was noted that these are older structures, which required maintenance.
