April 7, 2005 Meeting - After consideration and discussion, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Randall Mann
and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as described in the application dated March 1,2005 and as
depicted on the applicant’s drawing with the following conditions as noted in a letter from Tim Griep and Kyle
Westergard dated April 5, 2005: 1) No spoils to be placed on the ravine side of the footings, 2) No removal of trees or
shrubs outside of the building footprint, and 3) Erosion control fences to be placed on the lake and ravine sides of the
project. The Board noted that the proposed development would be no closer to the lake than the existing
development.

Matt and Brenda Hobbs, Lot 2 Block 1 Denwood Acres First Addition, Pickerel Lake in Maine Township,
requested the following: 1) a variance for a 32’ addition to the west end of the existing home located 64’
from the ordinary high water level. 10’ of the addition will need a variance of 40’ from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 100’ and 22' of the addition will need a variance of 36’ from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 100’. 2) a variance to extend existing deck, 10’ at its longest length,
triangle shaped, to connect with new door. Existing deck is located 54’ from the ordinary high water level.
3.) a variance of 26’from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’to screen in two side of
existing porch - it would be 74’ from the ordinary high water level. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the
audience with John Bald and Susan Dreis speaking for the variance as requested. After consideration and
discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, with.the
verbal permission of the application, to table this request until the April 7,-2005 Board of Adjustment
meeting to allow the applicants an opportunity to reconsider their plans and to meet on site with Kyle '
Westergard to discuss their development plans. April 7, 2005 Meeting - After consideration and

Glarification- Kevin Zitzow
After consideration and discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, second by Michael Conlon and
unanimously carried, to approve the following: 1) a variahoe of 6’ from the required side lot line setback of
10’ and a variance from the road right-of-way setback with aMetter of approval from the township for the
placement of a holding tank 4’ from the side lot line and at least 50’ from the ordinary high water level, 2) a
variance of 72’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for a proposed 7’ 8” by 15’ 5"
- screen enclosure located 28’ from the ordinary high water level, and 3) a variance of 65’ from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of a 4’ by.5’ roof over an entry door located 35’
from the ordinary high wafer level with the condition that the existing shed must be removed from it
present location and either the existing shed or a new shed of equal or lesser size.can be placed in
a location which is no closer to the ordinary high water level then the lakeside wall of the main house :and:
. must also be placed at least 10’ from the lot line on whichever side of the lot the applicant would
choose to place the structure.
With no further business, Randall Mann, Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 9:50 p.m.

Roger, and Kathie Siikey - Denied (8:21 p.m.)
Roger and Kathie Siikey, Lot 1 Pancratz Beach, Big Pine Lake in Pine Lake Township, requested a
variance of 15’from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ and a variance of 5’ from the
, required north property line setback of 10’ for the placement of a structure 60’ from the ordinary high water
level and 5’ from the north side lot line. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for
dr against the variance as requested. Robert Cavanagh submitted an email and Mike Schultz-and Dennis
Kragness submitted letters supporting the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion,
Paul Larson made a motion, second by Rod Boyer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as
requested from the required side lot line setback of 10’ as no adequate hardship unique to the property had
been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested. The Board took no action
regarding the ordinary high water level setback as that request had been previously approved on
December 1, 2004. /
Kevin Zitzoyv - Approved as modified and with a condition. (8:31 p.m.)
Kevin Zitzow, Lot 10 Lone Pine Beach First Addition, Sybil Lake in Dora Township, requested the following:
1.) a variance of 6’ from the required side lot line setback of 10' and a variance of 27’ 6” from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the placement of a holding tank 4’ from the side lot line and 47’
6" from the ordinary high water level, 2.) a variance of 72’ from the required ordinary high water level
setback of 100’ for a proposed 7’ 8” by 15’ 5" screen enclosure located 28’: from the ordinary high water
level, and 3.) a variance of 65’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement
of a 4’ by 5’ roof over an entry door located 35’ from the ordinary high water level. Raridall Mann, Chair,
polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and
discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, second by Michael Conldn and unanimously carried, to approve
the following: 1) a variance of 6’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ and a variance from the road
