- WEDNESDAY'S SESSION -
Pursuant to adjournment, the Board of County Commissioners of
Otter Tail County met at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 9, 1978, all members present.
Motion was made by Bert Hovland, seconded by Andy Leitch and unani
mously carried, to approve the plat of "Aurdal River View" to be located in Secton
7 - 133 - 42.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by Hub Nordgren and carried,
to approve a preliminary plat of "East^^ood Shores", located in Section 13 - 132 - 40.
Motion was made by Andy Leitch, seconded by John Snowberg and carried,
to approve an application of Milton Paulson for special use permit to build a road
to serve "Eastwood Shores" in section 13 - 132 - 40.
Motion was made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Hub Nordgren and unani
mously carried, to approve the preliminary plat of "Sybil Heights", to be located in
Section 6 - 136 - 40.
Motion was made by John Snowberg, seconded by Sydney Nelson and unani
mously carried, to approve an application of Glenn M. Anderson for special use permit
to construct a road to serve "Sybil Heights" in Section 6, Edna amd excavate a hill
and fill a ravine, approved subject to conditional requirements.
Motion was made by Hub Nordgren, seconded by Andy Leitch and imani-
raously carried to approve a preliminary plat of "1st Add'n to Ethel Beach", to be
located in Section 4 - 133 - 39.
Upon motion made by John Snowberg, seconded by Hub Nordgren and unani
mously carried, the following applications for special use permit were approved:

Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Commission was held on August 2, 1978
at 7:30 P.M. in the Court House, Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537.
August 2, 1978
Members present were: Beck, Portmann, Davis, Estes, Lachowitzer, Ryan, Jacobson
and Lindquist. Joe Cade also present.
A motion by Lindquist, second by Estes to approve the minutes of
the July 19, 1978 meeting as mailed.
Passed:
Voting: All members in favor.
A motion by Estes, second by Lindquist to approve the special use
application of Knuttila, Dertinger and Day, dated June 29, 1978
on Little McDonald Lake, No. 56-328, GD, Sec. 11 of Edna Twp. at
65 feet from lake for building setback. Maximum cut of 6 feet deep
and 40 feet wide. Sod slopes and seed remaining area. No fill in
low area.

Voting: All members in favor.
A motion by Lindquist, second by Lachowitzer to approve the special use
application of Henry Baumgartner, dated July 6, 1978 on Pickerai Lake,
No. 56-475, RD, Sec. 14 of Maine Twp. subject to the following: 1)
Limited to one (1) ice maker. 2) Temporary approval for one year.
3) If no problem at end of year - may be renewed.

Passed:A motion by Lindquist, second by Portmann to approve the special use
application of Glen Anderson, dated July 11, 1978 on Sybil Lake,
No. 56-387, RD, Sec. 6 of Edna Twp. subject to seeding and sodding
of ravine area.

Passed:A motion by Beck, second by Lachowitzer to approve the preliminary plat
plans of Sybil Heights on Lake Sybil, No. 56-387, RD, Sec. 5 & 6 of
Edna Twp. through Lot 7 only. Developers are Glen Anderson and Jon Evert.
Voting: All members in favor.
Passed:A motion by Portmann, second by Beck to approve the special use applica
tion of David Benson, dated July 14, 1978 on Pelican Lake, No. 56-786, GD, Sec. 12 of Scambier Twp. subject to obtaining advise of the Soil
Conservation Service for stabilization of bank. Hazel Promise spoke
to the commission.
