After discussion and consideration, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Michael Conlon and unanimously carried,
to approve a variance of 54’ from the required side lot line setback of 65’ for the placement of a water oriented
accessory structure 11 ’ from the side lot line. Hardship is the terrain of the applicant’s property.

Steve Sand, Lot 1 Block 1, Walleye Beach. Pickerel Lake in Maine Township, requested a variance of 54’
from the required side lot line setback of 65’ for the placement of a water oriented accessory structure IT
from the side lot line. Chairman Mann polled the audience with no one speaking for or agajnst the variance
as requested. After discussion and consideration, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Michael Conlon
and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 54’ from the required side lot line setback of 65’ for the
placement of a water oriented accessory structure 1T from the side lot line. Hardship is the terrain of the
applicant’s property.
Darrin Good - Approved the variance as requested with a condition. (7:25 p.m.)
Darrin Good, Lot 23 of the Survey Lots of Government Lots 5 and 6, Section 33 of Tbrdenskjold Township
by Stalker Lake, requested a variance of 55’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’
and a variance of 5' from the required shore impact zone setback of 50’ for the replacement of a roof and
fbr the installation of a patio door on an existing dwelling located 45’ from the ordinary high water level.
Chairman Mann polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After
discussion and consideration, Randall Mann made a motion, second by Steve Schierer and: unanimously
carried, to approve a variance of 55’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ and a
variance of 5’ from the required shore impact zone setback of 50’ for the replacement of a roof and for the
installation of a patio door and a railing on an existing dweiiing located 45’ from the ordinary high water
level with the condition that the existing fish house/shed must be either removed or relocated to the rear of
the house and placed in a location that meets the setback requirements of the ordinance before a site
permit can be.issued for the proposed development. Hardship is a substandard lot of record.
Thomas and Lucille Helfter - Approved the variance as requested with a condition. (7:30 p.m.)
Thomas & Lucille Helfter, Lot 1 South Point, West Battle Lake in Girard Township, requested a variance of
30’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for an addition to the backside of an existing
structure iocated 45’ from the ordinary high water levei. Chairman Mann polled the audience with no one
speaking for or against the variance as requested. A letter from John and Nancy Lindner in support of the
variance as requested was read for the record. After discussion and consideration, Michael Conlon made
a motion, second by Steve Schierer and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 30’ from the
required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for an addition to the back side of an existing structure
located 45’ from the ordinary high water level with the condition that the proposed development must be at
least 10’ from the side lot lines. The Board noted that the proposed development is to the rear of the
existing structure.
Tony M LaValle - Approved the variance as modified. (7:35 p.m.)
Tony M LaValie, Lot 16 Sandy Haven Development, Stalker Lake in Tordenskjold Township, requested a
variance of 30' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of a trailer and
deck 70’ from the ordinary high water level. Chairman Mann polled the audience with no one speaking for
or against the variance as requested. After discussion.and consideration, Steve Schierer made a motion,
second by Michael Conlon and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 28’ from the required
ordinary high water levei setback of 100’ for the placement of a trailer and deck 72’ from the ordinary high
water level. The variance as approved is consistent with other variances granted in this immediate area.
