MINUTES CF THE MEETING
OF THE
OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD CF ADJUSTMENT
Noventer 1, 1990
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, Noverrter 1,
1990, with the following persons in attendance;
Chairman George Walter
Victor Petterson, Jr.
Daniel Oehler
Carl Johnson
John Everts
Craig Andersen
Tim Greip, Land & Resource
Kurt Mortensen, Assistant County Attorney
Chairman Walter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m,, and hearing
no changes or corrections to the minutes of the October meeting,
declared same approved as mailed.
The following variance requests were heard;
Rcnald Gourte, Fargo, ND, requested permissicn to sell offa parcel
with 100 feet of shoreline, containing e^jproximately 45,000 square
feet from a 12 acre parcel in G.L. 3, Section 38, Lida Township, on
Late Lida. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Andersen,
seoemded by Carl Johnson and unanimously carried, to grant the request,
to transfer without going throu^ the platting procedure, however,
si±)ject to sul:xnissian of a surveyor's drawing; hardship being
topography and a peninsula involved, sizes of lots oonfonning to
the subdivision controls ordinance in every feature.
Betty B. Scheuffele, Waf^ton, ND, requested permission to be allowed
to keep a 14' carpet stored on Lot 12, Oakviood Bead;, Everts Township
on Silver Late, with no hook-ips.

Since the applicant was not
Patrick J. Wanbdte, Vining, MN, requested permission to sell one acre
of land out of a 12.50 acre peuroel in the NE3d4Wj of Section 35,
Folten Township, without platting and without surveying. After
sideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Victor
Petterson and manimously carried, to grant the request, provided
the description provided is in even feet and ri^t angles, and
clearly definable.
Mac McBemie, Santa Ana, CA, represented by Wesley Tweeton, ocntractor-
agent, requested permission to ocnstruct 12' x 20' bedroan extension
85' from ordinary high water mark, on Lots 5, 6 & 7, 2nd Aid'n to
Birch Grove, Dunn Township on Franklin Lake. Appearing emd speaking
to the issue was Paul Hagen. After oonsideration, motion was mate
by Victor Petterson, seconded by Carl Johnson and unanimously car
ried, to deny, no adequate hardship shown.

Gordon Hanson, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permissicn to screen in
area below existing deck and allow an existing storage building to
remain by lake, on Lot 17, Moore's Beach, Pickerel Lake in Maine
Township. After consideration, motion was mate by John Everts,
secended by Craig Anderson and carried with Daniel Oehler voting "no", to d^y, no adequate hardship shown.
HANSON - DENIED
Vernon Johansen, Underwood, MN, requested permission to place a
storage shed twD feet frein lot line on Lot 12, Augustana Beach,
Otter Tail late in Amor Township. Letters received were read and
David Lundeen arxl Victor Lundeen speared and speke to the issue.
After consideration, motion was iiate by Craig Andersen, seconded
by John Everts and carried, with Victor Petterson voting "no",
to deny, no adequate hardship shown.
