Motion was made by David Holmgren, second by Frank Lachowitzer and unanimously carried, to approve the
application of a modified string line, which will be applied from the corner closest to the lake on the dwelling to the righT
of the applicant’s property when facing the lake to the corner of the dwelling, not the deck, on the left of the applicant’s
property when facing the lake. Hardship is a substandard lot of record.

Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment
Dear Sirs:
We are asking for a variance on Dead Lake so that we can screen in our
existing deck. We are located on Dead Lake, Lot 7 Minnkota Beach Second
Addition of Otter Tail County, Maine, MN. Our 911 number is 32115.
We would like to add 6 inches on the outside of our deck. The screened in
deck will be 101 1/2 feet from OHWL. The roof line would start at 10 feet
and go to 15 feet at the house. The screened in porch is 290 square feet, 20
feet 9 inches wide. A variance is needed because the deck is ahead of the
string line test.
Enclosed are letters from our neighbors (on each side) agreeing to our
screened in porch. The porch would not affect our neighbors from viewing
the lake or be in any obstructive way for them.
