MOTION AS FOLLOWS:

Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 11' from the required road right-of-way setback of 20', a variance of
2' from the required side lot line setback of 10' and a variance of 4' from the required
road right-of-way setback of 20' for an 18' by 24' addition to an existing structure 9'
from the gravel service road, 8' from the side lot line and 16' from County Road #32.
Hardship being a substandard lot of record. It was noted that granting of the requested
variances would not establish a precedent, that the location of the structure would not
create problems for snow removal, that the side lot line variance is from a lot that
contains a mound system limiting future construction on the adjacent lot and the greatest
variance being granted is from a limited use gravel service foad.

Jason C. Vaughn, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance of 16' from the required road
right-of-way setback of 20' for the replacement of a 6' by 22' structure with a 6' by 11'
structure 4' from the road right-of-way. The property is described as Lot 12 and West 1^2
of Lot 13, Parkdale Beach, Swan Lake in Dane Prairie Township. The audience was polled
with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by
Randall Mann, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of
16' from the required road right-of-way setback of 20' for the replacement of a 6' by 22'
structure with a 6' by 11' structure 4' from the road right-of-way. It was noted by the
Board that the applicant's request would have been approved had it been presented to the
Board before the actual replacement had occurred.
Ernest J. Lemmerman - Approved
Ernest J. Lemmerman, Mound, MN, requested a variance of 11' from the required road right-
of-way setback of 20', a variance of 2' from the required side lot line setback of 10' and
a variance of 4' from the required road right-of-way setback of 20' for an IS' by 24'
addition to an existing structure 9' from the gravel service road, S' from the side lot
line and 16’ from County Road #32. The property is described as Lot 14 and the Southerly
23.2' of Lot 13 on the Road, Block 2, Haggstrom's Beach Addition, Pickerel Lake in Maine
Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously
carried, to approve a variance of 11' from the required road right-of-way setback of 20',
a variance of 2' from the required side lot line setback of 10' and a variance of 4' from
the required road right-of-way setback of 20' for an 18' by 24' addition to an existing
structure 9' from the gravel service road, 8' from the side lot line and 16' from County

required ordinary high water level setback of 100' and a variance of approximately 5' from
the required shore impact zone setback of 50' for a 30' by 36’ second story addition to an
existing dwelling approximately 45' from the ordinary high water level. The property is
described as Lot 4, Tradewells Woodlands, East Lost Lake in Sverdrup Township. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. Letters from Mr. and
Mrs. Ron Pedersen and Chester E. Kaiser in favor of the variance request were read for the
record. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Leslie Estes and
unanimously carried, to approve a variance of approximately 55' from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 100' and a variance of approximately 5' from the required
shore impact zone setback of 50' for a 30' by 36' second story addition to an existing
dwelling approximately 45' from the ordinary high water level. Hardship being a
substandard lot of record. It was noted that the addition would he no closer to the
ordinary high water level than the existing structure. The applicants were encouraged to
do whatever possible to control erosion.
