After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, that if within the next four working days the staff of the Land and Resource Management Department can contact and discuss with Rollie Mann variances from the 20' drain field setback and if an agreement can be reached with the Otter Tail Lakes Area Sewer District then a variance of 6' from the required drain field setback of 20' is approved, if contact cannot be made or if an agreement regarding variances from the 20' drain field setback cannot be reached then a 6' variance from the required side lot line setback of 10' is approved, for 6' by 24' addition to an existing 20' by 24' garage. Hardship being the location of the drain field and the terrain features of the property. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Dan Oehler and carried with Cecil Femling voting no, to approve the variance as requested as the gable on the building will drain away from the bluff area, the screen porch will be constructed on pilings, a storage shed and a kennel will be moved, the only excavation will be for the garage slab and the applicant's request has been reviewed by the staff of the Land and Resource Management office.
