Time:S' C u •» «Date of hearing: MOTION AS FOLLOWS: Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Leslie Estes and unanimously carried, to deny the variance requested for the vision obstructing fence as no adequate hardship had been shown and the fence would create a hazard. After additional discussion, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Randall Mann and carried with John Everts voting no, to approve a variance of 28’ from the required road right-of-way setback of 40' for the location of a single car garage 12' from the road right-of-way. It was noted that the garage is blocked by trees from the east and any vehicle leaving the garage will not back out into the flow of traffic. The property is described as part of Government Lot 2, Section 13 of Corliss Township on Bear Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Craig Anderson and carried with Cecil Femling voting no, to approve a variance of 100' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for an addition to an existing dwelling 100' from the ordinary high water level and for the construction of a 22' by 24' garage. It was noted that the garage is setback an additional 35' from the dwelling. Hardship being the terrain and topography of the property. It should also be noted that the property contains extensive wetlands that limit the areas suitable for building. The Board's action regarding the addition to the house formalized what was granted as the best possible location for a dwelling in a site permit that was issued on May 2nd, 1986. Thomas Nathan Polifka and Kenneth J. Klein - ApprovedyDenied Thomas Nathan Polifka, West Fargo, ND, and Kenneth J, Klein, Eagle Bend, MN, requested a variance from the required side lot line setback of 10' for the location of a 5' by 6' outside toilet and for the location of an 8' by 10' storage shed. The property is described as the West 1/2 of Lot 8 and the East 1/2 of Lot 9, Big Pine Point, Big Pine Lake in Pine Lake Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried to grant the necessary variances for the location of the existing outside toilet. It was noted that the outside toilet had existed since 1948 and that it was approved when the lake was abated. After additional discussion, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried to deny the location of the 8' by 10' storage shed and directed the applicants to legally locate the storage shed by July 1st, 1995. Forrest Wayne Hanson - Approved/Denied Forrest Wayne Hanson, Underwood, MH, requested a variance of 28' from the required road right-of-way setback of 40' for the location of a single car garage 12' from the road right-of-way and a variance of 40' from the required road right-of-way setback of 40' for the placement of a fence 6' in height and 20’ in length on the road right-of-way. I am in favor of granting the variance that he is seeking. It is by far the oest location that he has for a garage and it should do alot to increase his property value and taix base. Furthermore, oecause of the many trees that he has surrounding the txolding site, it will hardly oe noticable to the puolic.
