Septentoer 6, 1990- 2 -Board of Adjustment
Donald Christian, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested permission to allow
a screen porch to remain as constructed on Sitilot B of G.L. 6,
Section 2, Scantier Township, Pelican Lake. After listening to
various interested parties, letters, etc., moticn was made by Jchn
EXerts to approve a water orientated assessory structure of no nore than 250 square feet. The motion was second^ by Victor Petterson,
but withdrawn prior to vote. Motion was then made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to deny, no
adequate hardship shown.
Lois Kuhn, Battle Lake, MN, requested permission to build two 4' x 10' additions to existing cabin on Lot 10, Silverview Park, Silver
Lake in Everts Township, ^proximately 9* from either lot line, in
line with existing front of structure. After consideration, motion
was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Daniel Cehler and unanimously
carried, to approve, hardship being substandard lot of record.
Floyd L. Melin, Maple Grove, MN, requested permission to construct
d«/eliing 140' from lake on a parcel in G.L. 5, Section 6, Amor Town
ship on Dead Lake. After considerable discussion, the request was
vdthdrawn.

cabin 5' fran north lot line and 8'9" from south lot line, on Lot
41, Block 1, Crystal Beach, West McDonald Lake, Dora Township.
After listening to various interested parties, letters, etc., noticn
was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Craig Anderson and unani
mously carried, to ^jprove, hardship being terrain and substandard
lot of record.

Sanpson M. Hill, Wahpeton, ND, requested permission to construct
cabin 92' from water, on a parcel in G.L. 7 & 8, Section 32, Maine
Township on West Lot Lake. After consideration, motion was made by
Daniel Oehler, seconded by Craig Andersen and unanimously carried,
to grant approval, construction meets the string test, subject to
removal of old structure, hardship being terrain and a substandard
lot of record.
John Hartman, Saint Paul, MM, represented by Peter Hoff, Attorney,
requested permission to split a parcel contairu.ng 140' of lake shore,
lying between BoweryBeach and 1st Add'n to Bowery Beach, in Section
6, Dunn Township on Pelican Lake. After listening to the various
interested parties, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Victor Petterson cind unanimoisly carried, to grant ^proval, subject
to submission of a surwyor's drawing of the property in question; and
the condition the storage shed be located at least 10' from the
lot line of Lot 16, Bowery Beach, and the easterly line of the split
lot be no less than 10' from west side of center building. Heurdship
being a substandard situation and the best use of a former resort,
resulting in an inproved situation.
Doug Johnson, New Brighton, MN, requested permission to rebuild
existing cabin to include 6' addition towaikl rear, on Lot 7, Sunberg
Point Add'n, other lines remain as existing, on Pickeral I^e, Maine
Township. After consideration, motion was made hy Victor Petterson,
seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve, hardship
being substandard lot of record.
