I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tall
County. I understand I must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additional variance and/or permits
are required by the township for my proposed project.

Motion was made by Dan Oehler, seconded by Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to approve a
30' variance from the required shore Impact zone setback of 100' and a variance of 130' from
the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the addition of a 2nd story to an
existing structure. Hardship being the terrain and topography.

CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Walter.
MINUTES APPROVED-May 7th, 1992
Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the May 7th, 1992 meeting were declared
approved as mailed.
The following variance requests were heard:
IRaymond Anderson-Approved i4Raymond Anderson, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested a variance of 1 O' from the required drain
field setback of 20' for the construction of a 20' by 26' garage. The property is described as a
tract in Government Lot 4, Section 27 of Lida Township on Lake Lida. The audience was polled
with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John
Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a 1 O' variance from
the required drain field setback of 20' for the construction of a 20' by 26' garage. This Is a
reasonable Ixation for the placement of the garage and there is adequate room for maintenance
of the drain field. Hardship being a substandard lot of record.

part of Government Lot 7, Section 32 of Maine Township on West Lost Lake. The audience was
polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by
Dan Oehler, seconded by Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to approve a 30' variance from
the required shore impact zone setback of 100' and a variance of 130' from the required
ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the addition of a 2nd story to an existing
structure. Hardship being the terrain and topography.
