the request as presented as no adequate hardship had been shown for this environmentally
sensitive area and the plans did not take into consideration a public road that would service all of
the developed lots.

CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 7.00 p.m. by Chairman George Walter,
MINUTES APPROVED-July 2nd. 1992
Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the July 2nd, 1992 meeting were declared
approved as mailed,
The following variance requests were heard:
Gordon Dahlgren - Approved
Gordon Dahlgren, Verges, MN, requested a variance of 50' from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 200’ for the construction of a 20' by 24' utility shed. The property is
described as Lot 16 of Spirit Hills West, West Spirit Lake in Dora Township. The audience was
polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by
Cecil Femling, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of
50' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200' for the construction of a 20' by
23' utility shed. Hardship being the terrain.
Robert S. Berger - Denied
Roberts, Berger, Bloomington, MN, requested a variance of 50' from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 200' for a number of 2,5 acre lots. The property is described as
Government Lots 1,2, 3 and 4 lying east of the township road, Section 31 of Maine Township on
West Lost Lake. The audience was polled with the following people speaking to this request: Art
Barber, Richard Pemberton, Harvey Grasshoff, Leona Zimmerman and Mary Worner, After
much discussion and consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling
and unanimously carried, to deny the request as presented as no adequate hardship had been
shown for this environmentally sensitive area and the plans did not take into consideration a
public road that would service all of the developed lots.
