8’ from the 18’ maximum height of a non-dwelling structure for the construction of a structure having a height of 26’.
It was noted that the structure is a tree house.

Rochelle Elizabeth Knudsen - Approved
Rochelle Elizabeth Knudsen, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 2.5’ from the required ordinary high water level
setback of 20’, a variance of 16’ from the required side lot line setback of 40’ for the placement of the wooden decking
used in the constaiction of a new retaining wall approximately 17.5’ from the ordinary high water level and
approximately 24’ from the side lot line. The property is described as part of Sub Lot B of Government Lot 6, Section
6 of Dunn Township by Pelican Lake. The applicant was represented by her contractor at the public hearing. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil
Femling, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested with the
conditions that the runoff from the dwelling must be directed to the back of the dwelling and that the debris from the
project must be kept out of the lake. It was noted that the proposed project was recommended by Wayne E. Larson,
an engineer with Solien and Larson Engineering.
Reno Eugene Dahl - Approved
Reno Eugene Dahl, Underwood, MN, requested a variance of 8’ from the 18' maximum height of a non-dwelling
stmcture for the construction of a structure having a height of 26’. The property is described as the Southwest
Quarter of the Southwest Quarter and Government Lots 5 and 6, Section 15 of Maine Township by Round Lake. The
audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by
Randall Mann, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 8’ from the 18’
maximum height of a non-dwelling structure for the constnjction of a stmcture having a height of 26’. It was noted
that the stmcture is a tree house.
With no further business Chairman Walter declared the meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
