Motion
Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve
as buildable parcels the subdivision of a 2.7 acre parcel and a 2.67 acre parcel, as identified on the
registered drawing dated September 25, 1987, from an existing 139.04 acre parcel with the condition
that the registered surveyor’s drawing must included a certification that each parcel has adequate room
for two on-site septic systems, It was noted that both lots have high ground and access to a public
road.

I hereby request a variance to sell 2.70 acres (identified as Parcel C) which
is part of Government Lots 3 of Section 14, Township 134, Range 41 West, Otter
Tail County, Minnesota, to Paul E. Lindholm and Ruth A. Lindholm who own
adjoining property across the road described as Lot 1 and 2 of Block 2 of John's;
Cove of First Addition.
Further, we request a variance permitting us to sell in the future 2.67 acres
(identified as Parcel B), which adjoins the East Property Line of the above
described Parcel.
The drawings of the above 2 Parcels are attached and made a part of this
application.

After consideration and with the applicant’s permission, motion was made by George Walter, seconded
by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to table the applicant’s request until the May 7, 1998
meeting, so that the applicant would have an opportunity to consider methods of reducing the amount
of imperious surfaces to a level that will not exceed the allowable total lot coverage of 25%.
Emil and Betty Lemke - Approved
Emil and Betty Lemke, Fairmount, MN, requested a variance to subdivide 7.62’ from Lot 5 for
conveyance and permanent attachment to Lots 6 and 7. The property is described as Lots 5, 6 and 7,
Evergreen Beach, Big Pine Lake in Corliss Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking
for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John
Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to subdivide 7.62’ from Lot 5, Evergreen Beach,
for the purpose of conveyance and permanent attachment to Lots 6 and 7, Evergreen Beach.
David and Tracy Eliason - Approved
David and Tracy Eliason, Fergus Falls, MN, requested a variance of 4’ from the required lot line
setback of 10’ for the placement of a drain field 6’ from the lot line. The property is described as Lot 17,
River Oaks, Otter Tail River in Fergus Falls Township. A letter from Elwood Johnson in favor of the
variance request was read for the record. The audience was polled with Tim Eide speaking in favor of
the variance as requested. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by
Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 4’ from the required lot line setback of
10’ for the placement of a drain field 6’ from the lot line noting that the placement of the septic system
has been well planned and noting that this is the best location for the septic system on the applicants’
property as it is currently developed.
Mary Carolita Mahoney - Approved
Mary Carolita Mahoney, ET. AL., Underwood, MN, requested a variance to subdivide a 2.7 acre parcel
and a 2.67 acre parcel from an existing 139.04 acre parcel. The 2.7 acre parcel is identified as Parcel
C, on the registered surveyor’s drawing, and will be conveyed to the owners of the adjoining property
described as Lots 1 and 2, Block 2 of John’s Cove First Addition. The 2.67-acre parcel is identified as
Parcel B and is being requested for a future sale. The property is described as the Southwest Quarter
of the Southeast Quarter, part of Government Lot 3 and that part of the East Half of the Southwest
Quarter, Section 14 of Maine Township by Pickerel Lake. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the request. A letter from and Ed and Pat Thompson supporting the applicant’s
request was read for the record. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded
by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve as buildable parcels the subdivision of a 2.7 acre
