Explain your request:When the house was built in 1982 the lot line was assumed to
be 10 ft from the lot line. Ottertail zoning was out and looked over the home
and gave a permit to build on the position. The owner Erwin(Pete) Fendt contacted
zoning later when they realized the error and was told it wasn,t a problem. In
1987,11/29/87, a survey was done on the adjacent lot and showed the
the line on the end of the home. The eave has been removed so that no part of
the building is hanging over the line. The structure is approximatly 2feet from
the line at it's closest point. The adjacent owner is approximately 20 feet away
and got a variance to locate the home at the far edge of his lot away from the
subject home. We are asking for a variance to allow the house to remain in the
location where it was built.
