Janice E. Strinden - Approved
August 2, 2001 meeting Motion was made by Cecil Femling to approve the variance as requested noting that the
new structure will be placed generally in the same foot print as the existing structure. Hardship is a substandard lot of
record. This motion died for lack of a second. After additional discussion and consideration, motion was made by
Randall Mann, second by Steve Schierer and carried with Cecil Femling voting no, to table the applicant’s request unti
the August 9, 2001 meeting of the Board of Adjustment for the purpose of allowing the County Attorney’s office the
opportunity to review the legal affect of combining Earl Strinden’s lot with Janice Strinden’s lot and thereby allowing
both a primary dwelling and an existing guest house on a single lot. August 9, 2001 meeting - After receiving a
report from David Hauser, County Attorney, and after additional discussion, motion was made by Steve Schierer,
second by Richard Sha and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 5’ from the required side lot line setback of
10’ for the construction of a 58’ by 36’ dwelling 5’ from the common lot line of Lots 19 and 20. It was noted that Lot 19
is basically a non-buildable lot, which is owned by the applicant’s spouse. Hardship is a substandard lot of record.
