We would like to separate the existing resort into 2 single famhy residential lots. At this time we are requesting a variance to split all. of Lot 5 and West 50’ of Lot 4 Block 2 frorn the easting resort property on Lake Lida. Lot 6 Block 2 Ex Tracts on -the Lake Lida side would be retained and permanently attached to the West 50’ 8s East 50’ of Lot 6 Block 3 on the Crystal Lake side. On Lot 6 Block 3 of the Crystal Lake side we are asking for a Variance of 65’ from the OHWL setback of 100’ and a Variance of 15’ from the shore impact zone in order to build a replacement dwelling at 35’ from the OHWL. The proposed residential dwelling would be no closer to the lake than the existing cabin. Also on Lot 6 Block 3 we are asking for a Variance to exceed the 25% impervious cover. The property at this time is at 66% impervious cover and the proposed replacement dwelling would reduce the impervious cover to approximately 45%. Master’s Boys Shore, Rush Lake in Otto Township, requested the following: 1) 35' variance of structure setback from ordinary high water levei, 2) 2' increase in height of front porch, so that a standard size door can be instaited in replacement porch, and 3) we would like to replace our existing porch with maintenance free materials. Other than a possible increase of 1 to 2 feet in roof height of porch, the porch measurements will not change. Existing porch is 5’ 4" by 18’ 2". Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Paul Larson made a motion, second by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as described in the variance application dated June 8, 2005. Hardship is a substandard lot of record. The Board noted that the applicants’ proposed project is maintenance to the existing structure. ^SOKT Tammy Hofer-Denied. (7:45 p.m.) Tammy Hofer, part of Lot 8 and all of Lot 9, Jerry-Marg Beach Third Addition, Lake Seven/Scalp in Hobart Township, requested a variance of 66’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the placement of a 754 square foot deck 34’ from.the ordinary high water level. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, second by Steve Schlerer and carried with Paul Larson and Robert Schwartz voting no, to deny the variance as requested noting that the deck is within the shore impact zone, ahead of the string line and a reasonable use of the property can be obtained without the granting of the variance as requested. Paul and Martha Pfelfle - Approved the variance application as modified. The Board also noted that the variance as approved will allow the applicants to improve the property and the development will be an improvement over the existing property use. Terry and Georgie Thompson - Approved the variance as requested with a condition. (8:43 p.m.) Terry and Georgie Thompson, Lot 28 Seifert Beach and part of Government Lot 4, Section 29 of Dunn Township by Lake Lizzie, requested a variance to have a substandard back lot declared buildable for a non-residential use building. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, motion was made by Cecil Femling, second by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to declare Tract B as depicted on the drawing submitted with the variance application dated June 10, 2005 as a buildable lot with the condition that the proposed structure must be placed at setback from the public road which is no closer to the road than the neighbor's structure. Thomas Heifort - Approved the variance application as requested. (8:47 p.m.) Thomas Heifort, Lot 7 Ukkelberg Beach, West Battle Lake in Girard Township, requested the following; To install a mound system into part of the township road right-of-way and my property, to allow easier access and provide parking in front of garage, Also to duplicate mound system placement of homes adjacent to my property. Per the applicant's drawing it appears that the mound system will be placed approximately 5' into the road right-of-way. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with Cherie Heifort speaking for the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Michael Conlon and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested and as depicted on the applicant's drawing dated June 10, 2005. The Board noted that the variance as requested and as approved is consistent with past actions of the Board in this immediate area.
