Robert C. Olson. Fargo, HD. requests permission to construct an
18' X 24' addition to existing garage two feet from property line,
on Lot 21, Broadwater Beach, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township. After
consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson to deny, no adequate
hardship shown, with adequate space on the lot to construct a storage
facility, and a safety factor being present. The motion was seconded
by John Everts and carried with Carl Johnson voting "no".
Larry D. Nielsen, Lakeview Resort, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested per
mission to build a garage on the back half of Lot 76C, on Lot 1,
Block 1, Crystal Lida Beaches, on Lida Lake in Lida Township. After
consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Carl
Johnson and carried, to grant a 6' variance, to 4' from east property
line, hardship being substandard lot of record. Motion was then
made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Daniel Oehler and carried, to
table the balance of the request for further information.
Robert Molter i Dale Groskopf, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permiission
to build BO' from the lake on Lot S of 1st Add'n to Swan View Acres,
on Swan Lake in Dane Prairie Township. Jerry Martens appeared and
spoke to the issue. After consideration, eiotion was made by Daniel
Oehler, seconded by John Everts and carried, to deny, no adequate
hardship shown.
Ruby Biederman, Clitherall, MN, requested permission to construct
additions, plus encroach two feat father towards the lake, enclosing
corners on home on Lots 32 t 33, Robinson's Add'n to Clitherall Lake,
in Nidaros Township. Motion was made by John Everts to apply the
string test, but motion was withdrawn prior to a second. Motion was
then made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and carrieii
with Cecil Femling and Carl Johnson voting "no", to approve additions
to structure, building no closer to lake than existing structure.
Darrell Barnard, Perham, MN, requested permission to remove a 15'
X 20' shed replacing with new slab and shed on old foundation, on
Sublot 5 of Goverrment Lot 3, Section 1, Perham Township on Little
Pine Lake. After consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson,
seconded by Craig Anderson and carried, to grant approval, with the
stipulation that the shed be moved two feet from the lot line,
for an S' variance, building as close to the holding tank as possi
ble. Motion was then made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Craig Anderson
and carried, to grant a 5 foot variance, construction 5 feet from
south lot 1 ine.
John Gearhart, Clitherall, MN, requested permission to construct two
storage sheds, one each on Lots 7 A 8, Stewart's Oak Harbor, on
Belmont lake, I n. Cl i theral 1 Township, approximately 1(1 feet from
road. After cunsideration, motion was made by Daniel Oehler, seconded
by Cecil Femling and carried, to deny, no adequate hardship shown,
allowing until September 1, 19B9 tu have the structures removed,
John M. Klvender, Fargo. ND, re«|Ufsled permission to construct a
storage shed 34 feet from little McDonald Lake, on lot H, Block 1,
Gulliver's Iravels, 1st Add'n. Fdna lownship. After consideration,
motion was made by Craig Anderson to approve, hardship being the
distinct terrain feature crealifMi security problems from the tup
of the lot. Ihe motion died for lack of a second. Motion was then
made by John Fverts, seconded by Daniel Oehler and carried, with
Craig Anderson voting "no", to deny, no hardship shown with other
alternatives available.

The Boyd Halvorson request, tabled from the June and July meetings
was denied upon motion made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Carl Johnson and carried unanimously.
The Larry Nielsen, Lakevlew Resort, request tabled from the July
meeting was again tabled upon motion made by Craig Anderson,
seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried.
With no further business. Chairman Walter declared the meeting ad
journed at 9:50 p.m.

Anderson and unanimously carried, to grant permission, hardship
being substandard lot of record, and the most logical spot on
property to place garage due tq terrain of land.
Erwin Beilke, Fargo, ND, requested permission to construct addition to existing garage, 2' from side lot line, 2'. from road right-of-way,
on Lot #5, of Matson Survey Lots of G.L. 2 & 3, Section 28, Maple
wood and Lida Townships on Lake Lida.
After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by
Carl Johnson and unanimously carried, to grant approval, hardship
being least disturbance to lot, v^ith no snow removal problems.
Kenneth Yanke, Frazee, MN, reqdested permission to build with corner
of garage within 28' of road right-of-way, on Pt. Lots 5 & 6, Section
19, Hobart Township on Long Lake. After consideration, motion was
made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously
carried, to grant approval, hardship being low terrain at the required
set-back.

utilization of the "string line" test, a line run between the adjacent
cabin, to the approved building set-back of the property on the oppo
site side, and no closer, on the condition the 16' x 20' cabin be
removed.

Cecil Femling, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried,
to approve, hardship being substandard lot of record.
Jacquelyn Johanson, request tabled from the August meeting was again
tabled upon motion made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Carl Johnson
and unanimously carried.
John D. Fredrickson, Lino Lakes, MN, request tabled from the August
meeting was brought up for final action. Motion was made by John
Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny,
no adequate hardship shown, allowing until January 1 , 1990 to remove
building in question.
Larry D. Nielson, Lakeview Resort, Pelican Rapids, MN, request tabled
from the August meeting was brought up for final action. Motion was
made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously
carried, to approve the side lot variance on the west property line,
with the garage being placed 24' from CSAH #4, hardship being best

right-of-way, we are not sure that the road in question wasn't
abandoned to an easement cartway years ago. In any case, we have
no objection to his building a garage in line with the other
