Variances for the 12’ by 12’ shed were denied. (7:52 p.m.) After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Paul Larson and unanimously carried, to approve the proposed addition being no closer to the road right-of-way than 14.38’ and being at least 4T from the ordinary high water level and to deny the variances as requested for the 12’ by 12’ storage shed. The Board noted that there decision regarding this application is based on the letter received from the Otter Tail County Highway Department dated July 14, 2005 and the Board also noted that there is adequate area to locate the proposed storage shed in a location that m^the setback requirements. ^______- CfiairmanTOtter Tail County Board of Adjustmentf Permit(s) required from Land & Resource Managemen X Yes (Contact Land & Resource Management) No TimiM:Copy of Application Mailed to Applicant, Co. The property, located at 24704 County Highway 4, was purchased November 23, 2004. This property was sold to us as a two dwelling property. As of May 17, 2005 we were informed the previous owner of the said property converted a structure into a dwelling without permission from Otter Tail County. Our intentions are to meet Otter Tail County’s requirement of a one dwelling property by connecting what is currently two dwellings. 2. We will be removing 350 square feet of the asphalt, and 155 square feet of the sidewalk from the current total of the impervious surfaces, at the time of construction. 3. As a part of the construction process, the existing buildings will be re roofed and re-sided. This will provide continuity and give a good overall appearance of the finished project. 4. When the project is completed all impervious surfaces will total less than 20% of the .4 acre lot. 5. On June 9, 2005 Wayne Roisum, of Otter Tail County Land and Resource Management office, measured the high water mark to be 42 feet, which we would use in determining the variance we would request. With the new structure connecting the two present structures we would need a variance of 34 feet from the high water mark. The storage building would need a five foot variance from the high water mark. 6. On June 13, 2005 Dallas Grewe, of Otter Tail County Highway Department, and Wayne Roisum met at the said property to measure and mark the road right-of-way. Dallas Grewe informed us there was no objections to the variance request. 7. On June 14, 2005 property owner Gerald Sachs talked with David Tabery, the next door neighbor to the west. At that time the building plans were shared with Mr. Tabery. Mr. Tabery had no objections to the variance request. H& stated it would be a great improvement to the existing property and would also enhance the entire lake shore along that part of the lake. /\ \\\ / I 00 Ca^/’^A !
