MOTION AS FOLLOWS:
Motion was made by Cecil Feroiing, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance to subdivide an approximately 40' by 428' tract from an existing 4.3
acre parcel with the condition that the tract will be permanently attached to the adjacent
property currently owned by Tommy and Sally Reff and with the condition that a registered

Gregory P. Feir - Approved
Gregory P. Feir, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested a variance to subdivide a parcel of less
than 5 acres from an existing 4.3 acre parcel. The tract vould be approximately 40’ by
426’ and the applicant is proposing the sale of this tract to Tommy and Sally Reff. The
property is described as part of Government Lot 5, Section 3 of Lida Township on Franklin
Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously
carried, to approve a variance to subdivide an approximately 40’ by 428’ tract from an
existing 4.3 acre parcel with the condition that the tract will be permanently attached to
the adjacent property currently owned by Tommy and Sally Reff and with the condition that
a registered surveyor’s drawing will be presented at the time of recording. The granting
of the variance will make a substandard lot more standard and the granting of the variance
will not adversely affect the parcel being subdivided.
Joan R. Putnam - Approved
Joan R. Putnam, Friendswood, TX, requested a variance to subdivide a parcel of less than 5
acres from an existing 136 acre parcel. The parcel would be aftproximately .8 acres and
will become a part of the proposed Marquart Villa plat. The property is described as part
of Government Lot 1, Section 20 of Dunn Township on Fish Lake. Paul Marquart represented
the applicant at the hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against
the request. After consideration, motion was made by Leslie Estes, seconded by Randall
Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to subdivide an aptproximately .8 acre
parcel from an existing 138 acre parcel. The tract will become a part of the proposed
Marquart Villa plat which consists of 9.1 acres and will contain 5 standard size lots.
The granting of the variance will allow the proposed Marquart Villa development to be
successfully completed and will improve an existing substandard area by the development of
five platted lots with no adverse affects on the parcel being subdivided.
Roger E. Anderson - Approved
Roger E. Anderson, Pelican Rapids, MM, requested a variance of 5’ from the required side
lot line setback of 10' for the construction of a 24' by 24’ garage 5’ from the side lot
line.The property is described as Lot 4, Jacobs Beach, Prairie Lake in Pelican Township.
A letter inThe audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request,
favor of the request from Vernon Brekke was read for the record. After consideration,
motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to
approve a variance of 4’ from the required septic tank setback of 10’ for the construction
of a garage 8’ from the septic tank, 20’ from the road right-of-way and 10’ from the side
lot line with the condition that the existing 8’ by 14’ shed must be removed upon
completion of the new garage. Hardship being a substandard lot of record.
