MOTION AS FOLLOW.
Motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to
subdivide a parcel of less than 2.5 acres with the conditions that the new parcel cannot be used for the

Otter Tail County Shoreland Management Ordinance and/or the Subdivison Controls Ordinance. The Otter
Tail County Board of Adjustment will assemble for this hearing on

in the Commissioners' Room of the Otter Tail County Courthouse, Fergus Falls, MN.

After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously oarried,
to approve a variance of 58' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75', a variance of 20,5'
from the required shore impact zone setback, of 37.5', a variance of 3' from the required 1 O' holding tank
setback and a 4' variance from the required road right of way setback of 20' per the field investigation report
and a variance of 1' from the required side lot line .setback of 1 O' per the field investigation report, for the
placement of an 8' by 12' storage shed 1 7' from the ordinary high water level, 7' from the holding tank. 16'
from the road right of way and 9' from the side lot line. Hardship being a substandard lot of record. It should
be noted that this is the best location for the structure and that the applicant has made substantial
improvements to the lot.
Kenneth C. Benson - Approved
Kenneth C. Benson, Moorhead, MN, requested a variance to subdivide a parcel of less than 2.5 acres per the
drawing on file with the County Auditor's Office, The parcel would be approximately ,66 acres. The property
is described as part of Government Lot 1, Section 16 of Candor Township on Trowbridge Lake, The audience
was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Carl
Johnson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to subdivide a parcel of
less than 2,5 acres with the conditions that the new parcel cannot be used for the construction of a residential
dwelling, the parcel will he permanently attached to Lot 7, Trowbridge Acres and that a registered surveyor's
drawing will be provided at the time of recording. The granting of the variance will improve the lot by
increasing the lot area and the granting of the variance does not increase the number of residential building
sites.
John Gromatka - Denied
John Gromatka. Fargo. ND. requested a variance to leave an existing deck in its present location. The
applicant's deck exceeds the maximum height restriction by approximately 12". The property is described as
part of Government Lot 3, Section 10 of Dunn Township on Pelican Lake. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by John
Everts and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested and to allow the applicant sixty days to
resolve the present situation.
Clifford Ouren - Approved
Clifford Ouren, Battle Lake, MN, requested a variance of 72' from the required ordinary high water level
setback of 100' and a variance of 22' from the required shore impact zone setback of 50' for the construction
of a 1 O' by 32' addition to an existing structure 28' from the ordinary high water level. The property is
described as Lot 12, Timberlane Beach Rearrangement. Round Lake in Everts Township. The audience was
polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann
seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 72' from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 100' and a variance of 22' from the required shore impact zone setback of 50' for
the construction of a 10' by 32' addition to an existing structure 28' from the ordinary high water level with
the condition that the existing shed be removed from the applicant's lot. The granting of the variance and the
removal of the existing shed will be an overall improvement to the applicant's lot. Hardship being a
substandard lot of record.
