The enclosed drawing is a . topographic map, showing contours every five feet, drawn to scale. I am a registered Civil Engineer in North Dakota and Minnesota, and a registered Land Surveyor in North Dakota, and I did the survey of the lot and the enclosed drawing. Lake Ida is classified as a natural environment lake and I have indicated in red on the enclosed drawing the required standards for the buildable area. I have owned this lot for less than one year. I understand that the plat was filed before the current shoreline management ordinance went into effect and as such the minimum water frontage (200') and lot area (80,000 S.F.) did not have to be met. Therefore, I am wondering if the other requirements have to be met, since the lot is substantially smaller than the minimum for the natural environment lakes. As you can see on the enclosed drawing, there is hardly any area left for building. I would like to put up a pre-fab storage shed, with a concrete slab floor, this year. Eventually we would like to build an "A" frame cabin of about 36' X 23', but it doesn't appear we will build it for a couple of years. We would like to use the storage shed as a temporary sleeping area so that we could stay overnight there until we have a cabin built. Before I build anything on the lot, I would like to have a master plan layout of everything I plan to construct (cabin, storage shed, septic tank and drain field, well, etc.) to ensure that there will be no conflicts in the future. Please inform me of the correct standards to use in siting the above items on my lot. I would also appreciate any other recommendations or sug gestions that you might be able to offer.
