this request until the July 2nd, 1992 meeting.
Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to approve a
variance of 4’ from the required sicte lot line setback of 1 O' and a variance of 40' from the
required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the construction of a 7' 10" by 9'4"
addition to the present structure. The addition will be no closer to the lake or the side lot line
than the existing structure. Hardship being a substandard lot of record.

1Jerry McDonald, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 4' from the required side lot line setback of
1 O' and a variance of 40' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the
construction of a 7' 10" by 9'4" addition to the present structure. The property is described as
Lot 12 Block 1 of Trowbridge Point, Leek Lake in Candor Township. The applicant was not able
to attend the June 11th, 1992 meeting and requested that his application be tabled until the next
meeting. Mr. David Weaver represented the applicant at this hearing. Letters from David and
Peggy Weaver and Richard Dei Ike in favor of granting this request were read for the record.
The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration,
motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to approve a
variance of 4' from the required side lot line setback of 1 O' and a variance of 40' from the
required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the construction of a 7' 10" by 9'4"
addition to the present structure. The addition will be no closer to the lake or the side lot line

Jerry McDonald, Fargo. ND, requested a variance of 4' from the required side lot line setback of
10' and a variance of 40' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the
construction of a 7' 10" by 9'4" addition to the present structure. The property Is described as

Margaret Mary Tohida - Approved
Margaret Mary Tohida, Moorhead, MN, requested a variance of 119' from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 200' for the construction of a 12' by 16' 3 season addition to the
existing cabin. Also, requesting a variance of 19' from the required shore impact zone setback of
100'. The property Is described as Lot 11 of Minn-Kota Beach 2nd Addn, Dead Lake In Maine
Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After
consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously
carried, to approve the variance as requested for the construction of a 12' by 16' 3 season
addition as a water oriented accessory structure not to exceed a height of 10' with the provision
that the existing storage building be placed behind the building line.
Merlyn “Jack" Iversen - Denied
1Merlyn "Jack" Iversen, Fergus Falls, MN. requested a variance to create a subdivision plat with
11 lots varying In size from 39,560 square feet to 97,570 square feet. The required minimum
lot size Is 160,000 square feet and each lot Is to have a width of 400', The property Is
described as part of the NE1/4, Section 14 of Buse Township. A letter from the City of Fergus
Falls opposing the granting of this variance request was read for the record. The audience was
polled with Alvin Schmidt, Buse Township Chairman speaking against the granting of this
request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and
unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown
and it is contrary to the long range plans of both Buse Township and the City of Fergus Falls.
Jon K. Ingvalson - Approved
Jon K. Ingvalson, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested a variance of 1' 2" to 3' 3" from the required
side lot line setback of 10' for the construction of a 12' by 20' addition to the south side of the
existing house. The addition will be 8' 10" from the lot line at one corner and 6' 9" from the lot
line at the other corner of the addition. The property Is described as Lot D of Poss Survey Lot of
Government Lot 7, Dunn Township on Lake Lizzie. The audience was polled with no one speaking
for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by
Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 1 '2" to 3'3" from the required
side lot line setback of 10' for the construction of a 12' by 20' addition to the south side of the
existing house. Hardship being a substandard lot of record and the unique pie shape of this lot.
