Minnesota November 13,1997 Page 5 Rodney Richter - Approved Rodney Richter, Verges, MN, requested a variance to subdivide and sell a 1.13-acre tract of land from an existing 147.52-acre parcel for the purpose of establishing a roadway to connect County Highway #4 to the established pubic alleyway. The property is described as part of Government Lot 1, Section 34 of Candor Township by Loon Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A letter from Rick West, Otter Tail County Highway Engineer, in support of the request was read for the record. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to approve a variance to subdivide and sell a 1.13 acre tract of land from an existing 147.52 acre parcel for the purpose of establishing a roadway that will connect County Highway No. 4 with an established public alley way. Tim Pederson - Tabled Tim Pederson, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 60’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of an 8’ by 26’ recreational camper unit 40’ from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 17’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the placement of a 10’ by 12’ storage shed 83’ from the ordinary high water level. An old trailer was removed from the lot and replaced with a new storage shed and camper trailer. The lot is 105’ deep at the furthest measurement. The new camper was placed at the site of the old trailer. The property is described as part of Government Lot 4, Section 31 of Everts Township by South Turtle Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to table the applicants’ variance request until the December 4, 1997 meeting of the Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment. It should be noted that the applicant was unable to attend the scheduled public hearing due to a winter storm. Clarice Sherrit and Charles E. Solum - Approved Clarice Sherrit, Arthur, ND, and Charles E. Solum, Moorhead, MN, requested a variance of 10’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for the proposed expansion of an existing mound system 140’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lots 6, 7, 11 and 12, Pelican Beach, Block 3, Pelican and Duck Lakes in Scambler Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 10’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for the proposed expansion of an existing mound system 140’ from the ordinary high water level.
