Leek Lake, Otter Tail County Dear Ms. Peterson: Your letter and a copy of the special use permit application were forwarded to this office. I understand that the Waters Section in St. Paul sent you the necessary permit application forms. However, upon reading your letter, it appears that you may have misunderstood the permit procedure. The application for special use permit which you sent with your letter should have been sent to Mr. Malcolm Lee, Otter Tail County Shoreland Management Administrator. His address is Otter Tail County Court House, Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537. This is a permit which you must receive from the county prior to making any alteration to your lakeshore. In addition, you must complete the application forms which were sent to you by this Department and return them to our office in St. Paul. After having done so, your application will be reviewed and you will be notified within about two months whether or not your application was approved.
