Each parcel has less than the minimum required width of 400’. Rod Boyer appeared along with the applicants at the public hearing. Tom and Amy Mielke - Approved as requested. (8:20 p.m.) Tom and Amy Mielke, part of Government Lot 2, Section 34 of Dead Lake Township by Dead Lake, requested a variance of 84’ from the required septic system setback of 150’ for the installation of a sewage system 66’ from the ordinary high water level. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with Bob and Rose Deutschman providing information about the applicants’ property and other properties in the immediate area. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 84’ from the required septio system setback of 150’ for the installation of a sewage system 66’ from the ordinary high water level. The Board noted in their approval that there is no other available site for a system, that the applicants have had three installers review there property and that independently they have concluded that this is the best location and the Land and Resource Department has agreed with the installers’ recommendation.
