This motion was withdrawn before a second was offered. After additional discussion and consideration, Rod Boyer mad a motion, second by Steve Schierer and carried with Paul Larson and Cecil Femling voting no, to approve a variance of 7’ from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for the placement of a 21’ by 22’ attached addition to an existing second floor 3’ from the side lot line with the following conditions; 1.) no more than 25% of the total lot area can be covered with impervious surfaces after the proposed addition is completed, and 2) the existing boathouse must be removed on or before October 1, 2005. (7:38 p.m.) Travis R Rapatt, part of Government Lots 1 and 2, Section 18 of Butler Township by Bear Lake, requested a variance of 60’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the location of a building site 140’ from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 10' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 150’ for the placement of sewage treatment system 140’ from the ordinary high water level. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, second by Michael Conlon and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 33’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the replacement of a corrugated fiberglass roof on an existing screened in porch with a 6/12 vaulted rafter roof with the condition that an existing storage structure must be placed in a complying location on or before October 1, 2005. The Board noted that the variance as approved applies only to the roof replacement project and does not authorize any other modifications or changes to the 8’ by 18’ porch.
