OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
February 4, 1982
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustmentmet at 7:00 p,m., Thursday,
February 4, 1982, in the Commissioners Room of the Otter Tail County Courthouse,
Fergus Fall?, with Craig Anderson, Wilfred Estes, John Everts and Tom Stringer
present, George Walter absent. Craig Anderson presiding.■ *
Upon motion made by Tom Stringer, seconded by John Everts and car
ried, the minutes of the December 3rd meeting were approved as mailed.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blake, Verges, Minnesota, appeared before the
Board relative to a denial on a variance request presented on August 6, 1981.He
was advised to contact the Land 6 Resource Management Office to check on alternate
plans that might be acceptable.
The following applications for variance were considered:
Stephen Hofland. New York Mills, MN, tabled from the December 3, 1981 meeting, re
quests permission to transfer by metes and bounds description without the benefit.

I discussed your variance application with the Coxinty Audi
tor on 9-25-81. It was my understanding that your applica
tion was tabled and could be brought up at the next meeting.
However, it was also my understanding tl®t you would have 'to
be present for them to act on it.1» 1981 at the Otter Tail County Court House,
vise you to contact the Chairman of the Board of Adjustment
to determine if you will be on the adgenda and what presenta-
tibn requirements are necessary for them to act on your appli
cation since it weis tabled the first time. If your neighbors
have no objections, I would also advise you to present state
ments from your neighbors in writing to this effect. The
Chairman of the Board of Adjustments is Mr. George Walter,

Management office has made it clear that the statement the inspection would

granted by or stated by the staff of the shoreland management officealso calls into
credibility the testimony or statements that liave beengiven by Mr. and Mrs. Fisher.
This should be taken into account in weighing the credibility or believeability of
their testimony.

from Albert 6 Dorothy Rosenow, Jerry Carlson, Jerry Hause, Raymond Betts, and John
Meino, Jr..After discussion, motion was made by Tom Stringer, seconded by
David Trites and carried, to deny approval.
Harry Sell, Cottage Grove, MN, requested permission to construct a 24' x 24
garage on existing slab approximately 3' from lot line between Lots 17 6 18,
